Party Title: Sun Valley Turns 20!

Ticket type: Birthday Party Ticket

Text: Please join me to learn more about and help support a great local organization here in Denver that empowers youth, and families living in Denver’s Sun Valley Community! Bring your checkbooks and help me contribute to the Sun Valley Youth Center located in the heart of the neighborhood.

(It is important to make sure your guests know this is a fundraiser.  You may also download a copy of our 20th anniversary logo from our website to place into your invitations as well!)

Reminders: Make follow-up phone calls and send Evite.com or paperlesspost.com reminders to invitees who  have not had the opportunity to respond.

Step 2: Create a Give Lively account

Create a give lively   page: following this link, click where it says I want to raise support

Step 3: Make a Pitch Plan

Make a plan for how you want to present to your guests after watching the video.  Make sure you have any questions you may have about the organization answered so you are prepared!  The youth center will have informational materials available as well for you to distribute electronically to  your guests.  Please email kris@sunvalleyyouthcenter.org if you have any questions at all at any time (even during your party!)

Step 4: Plan Your Evening

Organize a good flow for your individual event here is an example of what you could do!

6:00-6:30 Host welcomes guests—Have guests sign in if they are willing to be added to our mailing list (4 times per year digital and 1 mailer per year—social media weekly) this will keep them connected to the youth center.

6:30-7:00 Serve some food and drinks (for a list of possibly menu options click here) Hit play on the Spotify playlist and you can use it as a conversation starter that the music playlist was created by a team of youth and staff at the center. (this also excuses the music if you don’t like a song )

7:00-7:20 Address the group and have them gather explain to your guests how you became involved with the youth center and how it has impacted you and your life.  You will have a cheat sheet to talk about the mission and vision of the youth center then show the video.

7:20-7:30 Part of the goal of The Sun Valley Youth Center is for families to feel like they are connected so spend a few minutes asking your guest to turn to the right or the left and tell one  thing they felt about the video.

7:30 Turn on the give lively platform and share the text to give option, guests can watch the donations raised during the party grow as the evening goes along….or show guests where a gift basket will be placed for donations. Learn how here.
